A machine shop's site built like a spec sheet: monospace, safety orange, no soft corners. A live shift board, and a tolerance checker that accounts for shop temperature.
What it had to do.
Engineering buyers do not want atmosphere, they want numbers. The brief was a site that reads like the documentation they already trust and answers the two questions every quote starts with: can you hold the tolerance, and when can I have it.
The decisions behind it.
- Monospace throughout, because the audience reads drawings all day
- Safety orange used only for state, never for decoration
- Hard edges and hairlines, no rounded corners anywhere

Tolerance checker with thermal expansion
A tolerance checker where moving the bore and the shop temperature redraws the part and says whether it still passes. Steel grows about twelve microns per metre per degree, and the tool shows what that means at 24 mm.
On a phone
Usable before anything loads.
The shift board reflows to one column and the drawing keeps its aspect ratio.
